DO YOU HAVE AN AUTOMOBILE? |

|
If you have an automobile do you know where the carburator is?
Or where is the drive belt?
Most people know how to drive an automobile. . . Yet, as long as the automobile works they are not interested in the details of the device they are utilizing. . . Whenever there is a problem with the automobile and it breaks down when you are on the road. . .it’s then that “how the car operates” becomes important. . .
Today we are living a life. . . we go out. . . have a nice time. . . work. . . and earn money. . .
One day. . when.an unknown miniscule virus pins you down to your bed. . it is then that your health gains importance. . we spend all the money we earned when we were healthy to recuperate from this illness. . . And sometimes, unfortunately, even a fortune may not suffice to restore our health. . .
People, generally, are not interested in how the system works as long as every thing is going well. . . For instance, when there is no drought it is not important how it rains. . more over that rain is a catastrophy which, generally, causes congestion in the traffic when coming home from work. . .
Without an earthquake we do not have much information on how earthquakes are caused. . we are interested. . remember August 17 (1999). . .everybody, as if an earthquake specialist, was interested in the pertinent bulletins on this topic to the finest detail. . . Some people were following the daily earthquake situation and the technological developments on the Internet. . .
How about death? Death. . . which we always think or wish to be far away from us. . . And which we do not wish to recall. . .and when the subject is opened we say: “Let’s not discuss such dismal matters.”
What do we know about death?
That’s right. . . We. . . who are not very interested in how the system works as long as everything runs smoothly. . but. . .what do we do when our automobile, which we call “body,” and which permits us to travel in this world, all of a sudden breaks down? For instance, if your engine or heart suddenly misfires and you are stranded on the road? What do you do. .
If we have well maintained our car and have been involved with how it works. . if we have thought of how that magnificent engine operates and of the perfect design of the technician who manufactured it and if we have thanked Him for having endowed us such an engine. . then. . if we have thought that one day this automobile would no longer be operative . . and that it would not permit us to travel. . . and that its engine would one day misfire. . . that is, if we have thought of death. . . Then, we will have seen the truth of life on Earth and perceive: That we are not the real owner of this automobile, that we are only a lessee who has leased it from its lessor and that one day we must return it.
As people, as long as everything is going well, we are not involved with how the system works. . with. Who has created Earth and why. . .why various animals and vegetation have been provided for us. . .and in return what God Almighty, our creator expects from us. . .
We live. . .as long as we make our day. . we rejoice. . . we work. . . We prosper. . . and spend lavishly. . . Yet, it is a waste of time to remember the Lord, who has bestowed us all these blessings. . . because time is valuable. . . the time we spend in this world. . . And we don’t have the luxury to think of such futile things and thank him. . .
Because the time we spend in this world is very important. . . to utilize every second of it in this world is a wiser investment. . .
How about death? Is it the end? . . .Is everything over when we die?
Birth is not the beginning. . .nor is death the end. . .
If you believe in life after death. . . Have you made a good investment? Which bonds have you purchased?. . .Have you diversified in dollars and Euros?
I have never been there nor seen it. . but assure yourselves that neither dollars, nor euros, nor stock shares are convertible there. . I ensure you. . .
Unfortunately, as people we only become involved with an issue if it is to our personal benefit or our existence is being threatened. . .
And death. . . It is an inevitable fact that awaits us all. . .
Ye who believe! Fear God And let every soul look to what (provision) he has sent forth for the morrow. Yea, fear God. For God is well acquainted with (all) that ye do. Verse18,
